A nice and rare species of rodent from Northern Asia. A subterranean, mole-like rodent with robust paws for digging!
This particular skull is in great condition and has all teeth. Has been cleaned, degreased and whitened, but still has a nice little bit of patina to it from the soil it was found in.
Not a species I get in often, and almost never in such good condition!
