I've just finished up something a bit different.
Some horse hooves! Articulated with wire and glue, complete with full hoof caps. They are mounted to the base, but not permanently and can easily be removed.
I've tried to make them stick out a bit so you can see all the cool patterns in the bone! The bases are also small enough to fit inside any standard dome.
Each one stands approximately 20cm tall.
